Alicent
I’m surprised there hasn’t been any discussion of this name here yet. Created by George R.R. Martin and currently in use in the new Game of Thrones sequel House of the Dragon. The character is vile, but what do you think of the name? I think it’s quite nice, and it’s really putting me onto Allison, which I’ve never much cared for.

For me, Alicent looks like a weird combination of Alison and Milicent. Not my style, but okay.

I like it better than Allison or Millicent. But I think I'd prefer Alysanne / Alys (other GRR Martin names).

I don’t like it. It’s cold and bossy.

I’m all for made up names. I like how creative and interesting they can be, individualizing someone. Though, something doesn’t sit right with me about this one. It sounds very nice, and Ali would be a cute nickname. Though, for some reason, I don’t care for this one. I prefer Allison.

I don't find the name attractive at all, even though I like Alice and Alison.

Ludicrous. Looks like the currency of a small Pacific Island nation.

It's prettier than Millicent but not better than Allison. It sounds more invented than other invented names, but it's actually pretty and sounds vintage.

Kind of surprised too, and it seems like it could catch on. It’s also the kind of name I would have believed it if someone had told me it was a legit Medieval name.

Actually... now that I think about it.. I think I could actually be on board with Lauricent & Lilicent. Don't come after me lmao Lilicent in particularly would fit right into the series imo

"You were seen hooking up with your uncle at a pleasure house! Tell me it's not true!" ......anyway yeah I'd be on board with real life Alicents. I've always had a very vague like of Allison even if it's pretty generic. Between that, Maleficent and Millicent it makes me think of other fantasy -cent smoosh name possibilities. Monicent, Mericent, Ellicent, Enacent, Addicent, Madicent, Jamicent, Herricet, Morricent, Heathecent, Eiricent, Lauricent, Tericent, Lilicent, Fidelicent, Annicent, Calliocent, Winicent, Gwenacent, ... the cringey possibilities are truly endless! *I know these are all bad I'm just trying to pretend to be Martin sitting down and brainstorming these character names 😆*
