Ewelina
I met a new baby named Ewelina (in an English speaking country). Why not Evelina, who knows. I think the kid will have issues with the spelling. What spelling. Wdyt?

Evelina is pretty but the spelling Ewelina will constantly be mispronounced in English speaking countries. Unless you live in Poland just go with Evelina.

If she has no Polish heritage, I'd find that strange. Ewelina is the spelling I'm used to, but it's not a name I've ever encountered on a baby, only on women aged 30+

Perhaps the parents are Polish or German? In those languages, the /v/ sound is written as w.

Yes but my point is that the w may cause issues where they live.

Oh and the parents are not Polish or German.

Love Evelina, but Ewelina in an English speaking country will cause issues. Not to mention teasing because she has ewe (a female sheep) in her name.
