I like Eliana better, Liana reminds me of lianes and feels incomplete.
Eliana gets my vote. I love it!
Eliana gets my vote. I especially love the Hebrew meaning of this name. Liana is just less interesting to me.
Liana feels more like a short form and Eliana like a full name.
Eliana is a former favorite but now I find it a bit bland. I like its sunny meaning, though!
Liana doesn't stand out between the Leahs, Leannes, Lisas etc.
I prefer the look of Leanna or Lyanna.
I would pick Eliana or possibly Leanna or Lyanna.

Both are really pretty! They are both not too frilly, but still very feminine. I probably like Liana a little bit more though, it seems a little bit less trendy and more classic.
I like them both. I've known gals with each.
Liana seems a little more dated, and Eliana seems more fashionable right now, with that vowel at the front.
I personally like Liana a tiny bit more - I'd rather be named it, or use it for a daughter. I guess I just like the fact that it is shorter and feels more compact, less lacy. Four syllables is a lot, even for a shortish name like Eliana.
But on someone else, I would like Eliana about as well - maybe sometimes more.
