The name Haruka was popular in Japan in 90s and early 00s for girls in kanji 遥. What do you think about this name? Is this name still given in Japan?

I think the name is still popular...I don't have upfront evidence for it though.
I think it's very pretty but also cool on a boy, exclusively written with the kanji meaning "distant", also used to spell the name Ryou. If there are other masculine or unisex kanji options I'd love to see them! X3

Oh yes, I think it's much more interesting on a boy! It's too popular on girls for my tastes, but still pretty.
