I like Alexine more than Lucine, personally.

Alexine is fine; I'm not a fan but it's better than Alexis on a girl. I like its sound and how it looks on paper, but I prefer it as a short form of Alexandrine rather than a name on its own.

Lucine is lovely, especially with the French pronunciation. I'm a little surprised at the fact that it's now archaic in France - it doesn't have that feel. Seems like a name French would use in a heartbeat; I mean - there are Lucie and Lucile / Lucille.

Alexine is intriguing. Not sure if I prefer it to Alexandra.

Question about Lucine, though: are we using the French pronunciation (loo-seen), or the Armenian pronunciation (loo-see-NEH)? I like both, but the French one is more practical for me.

I think I might be a little bit more partial to Alexandrine over Alexine.

Lucine imo. I like them both about the same in theory but I prefer Lucy over Alex any day individually.

Not a fan of Alexine, I prefer Alexandra. But OH MY GOODNESS, Lucine is STUNNING! I’ve never seen it before and I love it as a long form of Lucy, and the meaning moon is beautiful. I prefer the pronunciation loo-SEEN over loo-see-NEH, though.
