Which one do you prefer?

I think Kara looks better because it prevents me from thinking of cars as much. Either one is great though. I like Tara and Terra as well.

Cara. Pretty. It translates to “dear” in Italian. I find it less 90s than Kara, but I’m biased cuz of weird personal stuff.
Kara isn’t as elegant. Not bad, just looks more harsh.

I like both but I also dislike both in equal measure.I prefer the pronunciation "KEHR-ə" and I think I read Kara more with that. Kara also used to be listed on this site as a pet name for Katherine, which I kind of like.Cara looks less pretty to me, but also like less of a nickname?I don't know. This feels like one of those names that is inescapably dated which diminishes it no matter how pretty I may find it personally.

I pronounce them with the first syllable like "car." I prefer Kara. It seems stronger and brighter to me.
I like it - but it's maybe a little too brassy for my taste.
I knew a Kara growing up.
I don't like the other pronunciation for Kara, with first syllable like "care."Cara seems more complicated and moody.
I think the other pronunciation of Cara ("care"-uh) gives it a bit more spirit, but I like it less than Kara ("car"-uh).

Cara looks more elegant, friendly in a gentle way, and is into painting or music.
Kara is spikier, more sporty, and tells great jokes.

PronunciationI tend to pronounce Cara as Care-uh and Kara as CAR-uh. This is due to how the Cara and Kara that I've met pronounced their names, but I haven't encountered many. Do you pronounce them both the same way?

Assuming that it's Latin, definitely Cara.
