I saw a girl on Instagram named Soleil. She was older, looked to be around college age. So I was surprised to see it.
The name fit her very well. Like, exactly the type of person I’d expect to be named Soleil. She had dark brown hair and loved fashion, and would often dress like y2k girls you’d find on Pinterest.
I do quite like how it sounds, but I feel like it’s a bit much for your average person. It’s still pretty and I’m not against it, but I wouldn’t use it myself. It’s like… the high fashion of naming??? If that makes sense??? It has rich girl vibes but not in a bad way necessarily. Like, I couldn’t picture an accountant being named Soleil. I feel the same way about Lorelei.
I could see myself using it for a character, or potentially as a middle name, though I’m hesitant.

It looks very pretty. I prefer just Sunny, though.
