I’ve met too many Briannas for me to like the name. I never cared much for -ana names anyway.

I had a very negative experience growing up with a Breanna and a Brian. That ended any fondness I may have once had for either name.

I suppose Briana is the best of them, but this name felt so overdone in my generation. I prefer the bree-AHN-ə pronunciation.

Both names are very common in my generation. You can find many variant spellings (Brianna, Briana, Breanna, Breana, Brionna, Briona, Bryanna, Bryana are all spellings that I’ve seen). Brianna seems to be the most common of all, however. It’s also a struggle with pronunciation, sometimes. You’re either “Bree-AN-nuh” or “Bree-awn-nuh”. Despite all of this, I prefer the Brianna spelling with the “Bree-AN-nuh” pronunciation. I think it’s a fairly solid name. If I didn’t have an ex-relative with this name, it would be on my list.

I don't like them at all. I much prefer Bryony.

If I had a daughter today, her name would be Brianna.

I definitely prefer Brianna to Breanna or Briana, but I’m not crazy about the name either way. To be Brianna is a very Gen-Z name along with Mikayla / Makayla for example so I’ve met a few of them to the point they either just remind me of a certain type of person or mean girl, and the spark is gone. The name is just kinda... there.

Breanna Taylor is a pretty unfortunate association I would not want for myself nonetheless a child. Objectively looking at it I can see the appeal, the sound is nice and it has a pretty look to it - but it’s giving basic honestly. I find it ironic it doesn’t even sound like Brian.

I like Brian for a boy. I'd expect Brianna to have the same i sound as Brian, and Breanna to have an ee sound. And I prefer the Bree sound.
