Suelou
What do you think of the name Suelou or Sue-Lou? I just discovered it on this site's random renamer (with hillbilly and feminine entry). I think it's similar to Sue-Ellen or Suellen, which I don't like.

...like, Sulu?I have issues with the hillbilly stereotype, but this seems excessive even among a hillbilly demographic.I have no issues with Sue Ellen if it's a name someone goes by - I think Susanna Eleanor might be a pretty combo and Sue Ellen might be a good nickname - but as a given name, Sue or Lou are not complete.

To me it sounds like Sulu, the Star Trek character. Even so-called “hillbilly” names usually have syllables and sounds that balance nicely. This name does not. It’s too sing-songy.

It sounds stereotypically redneck-ish and would make more sense as Sue-Lou.

Reminds me of Cindy Lou Who. Definitely seems like a name Dr. Seuss would have come up with.

Suellen is better. And I don’t even like that name.Suelou is too rhymey, southern, and made-up.

I don't like Sue, and I kind of like Lou (more for boys) but I'm not sold on Suelou. The spelling looks awkward and would look better as Sue-Lou, but only slightly. I don't think double names should rhyme, anyway. I prefer Zulu.

I didn't realize right away it was Sue-Lou; I thought it might be Sway-Loo.
Anyway, Sue-Lou is very "precious" not in a good way, and sounds like Zulu.
