Onerva
What do you think about a Finnish name Onerva (here's how it's pronounced: https://forvo.com/search/onerva/)? It is an old Finnish word meaning "aftergrass" or "the hay grown after harvesting"; as a name, Onerva has been used since the late 19th century and was most popular in the first decades of the 1900's.I've been fascinated by this name after reading about the life of Finnish poet L. Onerva (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Onerva). I like Onerva's vintage vibe and how it reminds me of Minerva, one of my favorite names.Combos:Onerva Augusta

The meaning is so poetic, but something about it sort of creeps me out. It's the 'nerv', I think, like 'nervous'. I just can't find the name/spelling appealing... but the meaning is unique. I think Finnish is one of the most beautiful languages, and there are so many interesting Finnish names with poetic/unusual nature-based meanings, it just kinda falls short.

I agree with RoxStar, it sounds like medicine. That aside it sounds fine but I’m not fan. Minerva is better. Onerva Lilian sounds nice.

I love it! I like how poetically specific the meaning is. It's a dreamy name. Onerva Tuulikki is gorgeous.

Tbh, I've added Onerva on my PNL recently, I guess I've heard it on this board, probably from you, if I'm not mistaken!
There is something special about O- names.
Onerva reminds me of field nymphs, fairies, O(u)ndine. It sounds strong, a tad harsh. Combos that intrigued me:

I don't much like the "nerve" sound in Onerva (or Minerva), but the meaning is very intriguing. These combos caught my attention:Onerva Hildur: imposing battle maiden.
Onerva Tuulikki: very pastoral, what with "aftergrass" and "little wind" :)
Onerva Iiris: Iiris Onerva would be pretty.
