Re: Cyrus
I don't know that I would immediately associate Cyrus with Miley Cyrus. I assume always that children named Miley are the children of big Miley Cyrus fans. (Except I do know a girl my age named Mileigh and I have no idea where that came from, as Miley Cyrus would have been, well, one.) I think Miley would be an unusable name, completely overwhelmed by a singular association, regardless of one's feelings towards Miley Cyrus. (I go back and forth on her myself. I don't at all regret spending way too much money to see her Bangerz tour in 2014, but she's not someone whose music I listen to on the regular.)Cyrus, though, is a much older name with a far deeper history than Miley Cyrus (and/or Billy Ray Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, or Trace Cyrus for that matter).I don't know if I'd use it, but I don't dislike it. My associations are largely animal-based: I've known of horses and turtles with the name. But still, I don't hate it.
