Peter
Peter is a name that I’ve always been into. It has a very sentimental and homely feel for me. As, I have many amazing, nostalgic associations with this name. Also, as embarrassing as my comment on my old account (wheelbarrow4) is…I’d still date a Peter. Lol. As you can probably tell by now, I have a huge crush on this name. I love its strong meaning and classiness. I also think that the nickname Pete is a cool nickname. What are your thoughts on this name? Also, what would you use for a middle name? If it were me, I’d probably use Peter Anthony, Peter Gregory, or Peter Cyrus.Formerly, wheelbarrow4

My son's name is Peter. In full, Peter David Alastair, all three names have personal significance. His little sister used to eat pita bread eagerly; she liked it, and was also convinced that it had been named after her brother!

Your son has a very nice name! I think I’d actually use Peter Alastair, personally. Also, LOL! That’s story about his little sister is both funny and adorable. I think she had a point. Let’s reveal the truth about pita bread; it *was* named after your son! #peoplestoplyingandgetwiththeprogram (this is obviously a joke. Lol)

It was a slang word for a private part when and where I was growing up so can't get over that.

Ah. Well, that’s a completely fair point. I’m aware of that slang, personally. However, it doesn’t alter me. Most people don’t use that slang, where I am. Even the older people, who use “Pecker” (such as my dad). This being said, I would never want to be called “Willy” (because of the private-part slang, I think it sounds childish, it doesn’t suit me, and the Willy Wonka references [kind of annoying already, lmao]). Either way, that doesn’t really affect my liking of the name. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

I think it’s a nice name and I can appreciate it in theory. Though I have very bad associations with it. I do prefer Pierre, since it was my paternal Grandfather’s name.
