Tessa
This has been in my favorites for a long time. I keep leaving it and somehow coming back to it. Tessa is currently my favorite girl name. I like how it’s uncommon but also known. My favorite combination would have to be Tessa Nadine. I think it sounds like a very warm and friendly name. What are your opinions on the name Tessa?Formerly, wheelbarrow4

I knew... four or five girls named Tessa growing up, which is why I'm struck by the fact that it never was as popular as I thought it was.I always thought the name Tessa sounded incomplete as a given name - a nickname for Theresa or something like that.

I like Tessa and Tessie and Tess. All very sweet, homely type names.

It’s got a pretty sound, but I have a hard time getting behind nicknames as given names, even ones that are this well-established. It had a short spurt of popularity in the early 2000s, I think, at least based on how many people were asking about it on naming boards at that time.

I used to have a character named Tessa Principessa. She was a mermaid. I never really cared much for the name, it always just sounded sorta plain in my eyes, even if it’s not Jane or Anne.
I wanted to give Tessa a Greek name (cuz she’s Greek, obviously) but Tessa isn’t even a Greek name I don’t think, I just thought it was. I was in middle school. I also had a non-Greek character in the same universe named Thalia, but I can’t use Thalia anymore and I’m still mad about that. Now it’s just Leah.
Also, my parents have never heard of the name Thalia before which I find weird bc there’s like 5 Thalias in my grade. Anyways, sorry for my tangent. Tessa Yvonne

I think it's unique, but it's quite overused in my region as a diminutive of Thessalonica. Tessa Nadine sounds like good combination.

I knew a pretty blonde Tessa growing up so it's always been at the back of my radar. Alas, her middle name was simply Marie. I like Tessa. It was one of my early choices I really took notice of along with Noelle which feels like her spiritual sister to me. Tessa Nadine is pretty good choice.
