1) It has a nice sound. Yet it makes me think first of the famous poem/song, and a woman who lures sailors to their deaths is hardly a good association for a personal name.
2) I would pronounce it LOW-reh-lie, though I knew someone growing up who pronounced it lor-EL-ee.
