Tell me what you think of these 6 girl names please
Replies
Arya: Not bad. I always liked it. Better than Aria.
Bellamy: It’s decent. I like the meaning. I like it more than Amy but otherwise no strong feelings.
Bianca: This name is beautiful. I think of the Othello character. Alluring and bright in a cool way.
Carmen: Fine. Never really cared for this name.
Cicely: Vastly prefer Cecily. This isn’t horrible though.
Jacey: Neutral.

1. Arya- definitely not this spelling. Very very bad associations. Spell it Aria and the meaning will be much better :)
2. Bellamy- I quite like this name, but I wouldn't use it personally.
3. Bianca- I have always loved this name. It has a unique sound to it.
4. Carmen- I like this name as well, although not as much as I used to, mostly because it's a bit dated.
5. Cicely- I prefer Cecelia, but Cicely is good too. Reminds me of SNL actress Cecily Strong.
6. Jacey- I have a friend with this name, but it's spelled Jaci. I'm sorta neutral to it, a bit too modern for my liking.

1. Arya - it seems there is no escaping this name so eventually, I came to be neutral on it. But I think between it and Aria, I prefer the latter.
2. Bellamy - I don't really like it, I don't usually mind surname-y names but because I already don't like it, it bothers me with it. I think most Bella- names are just heavy sounding.
3. Bianca - this name, while I prefer it to Bella, is also heavy but also kind of weak. Not the worst but the sound just doesn't appeal to me.
4. Carmen - I think, because of how relatively rare it is, and how well known the opera is, it comes of as a bit pretentious. I also think the sound is a bit abrasive.
5. Cicely - I really like it. It just makes me smile, it's so sweet. I now prefer Cecily but I liked Cicely first so I'm still very fond of it.
6. Jacey - I'm not sure exactly what about this name makes me shudder but something does. Is it that it sounds like initials? Is it the general forgetableness? Not sure but I dislike it rather intensely.

Arya - too modern for my liking, I prefer Aria, although I don't really like this one either.
Bellamy - I only find it appealing on a girl. I can't see it on a boy, the Bella- part stands out too much.
Bianca - pretty. I also like that is used in lots of languages.
Carmen - my favourite out of this list. In my country, Carmen is like Evelyn in the US: a grandma name that is commonly used to this day.
Cicely - Cecily is much better. This one doesn't look like it's derived from Cecil.
Jacey - no. Just no. Like Arya, it's too modern for me, but this one is artificial.

Arya: No, thank you. Unpleasantly Aryan.
Bellamy: I've always liked it. Good meaning, and though I dislike both Amy and Bella, it manages to rise above them.
Bianca: The sound doesn't appeal to me, and the only Bianca I know is not a good advertisement for the name.
Carmen: Wonderful opera; fine in real life for someone else, but not for me.
Cicely: I much prefer Cecily, which I'd use in a heartbeat and would have been happy to have it as my own name. But Cicely isn't my style. It looks like a spelling error and loses the Cecil- reference entirely.
Jacey: Is it a merger of initials? Jennifer Carol -> JC -> Jacey? I don't suppose Jesus Christ would mind, but I do.
