Bennett. Kyran sounds too trendy, like Kylie or Kayden. It’s pretty odd too, and not in a good way. Kieran would be better, but I still like Bennett more.

Of the two boy names I guess I’d pick Bennett. It feels s bit surnamey for my taste, but it does have some precedent as a first name.

Kyran would have me wondering if it’s a trendy respelling of Chiron or Kieran/Ciarán. There are pronunciation issues and the K-Y trend is a bit dated now.

Bennett would be my pick. Ben is a good, solid nickname (much prefer it for Benjamin though).

Why not Kieran, rather than Kyran? I'd much prefer Bennett, because it shortens comfortably to Ben, which is friendly and pleasant. Kieran, and especially Kyran, won't shorten at all.
