Ceres
How do you pronounce Ceres? There’s several different pronunciations listed in the comments section. I personally like SAIR-iss but I feel like that’s not how it’s pronounced.
On the same note, do you know of any names pronounced SAIR-iss? If not, how would you spell a name with that pronunciation if you were to make one up?

I'm very likely wrong, but my instinct is to pronounce it SEHR-ehz (or SAIR-aiz). And then I remember it's Latin, and should probably be KAIR-aiz. I think both Es should be pronounced the same (though again, I'm likely wrong).
Ceres is lovely! I pronounce it "SERR-eez."
Here in South Africa we always say SEAR-iss; very occasionally SEAR-ease. It's the name of a little fruit-farming country town (the local nature reserve is called Persephone!) and has for a long time also been the name of a brand of fruit drinks made from its produce, plus other stuff that they bring in, like mangoes, that don't grow there.
I always say SAIR-iss or SAIR-eez, but I know it's supposed to be a hard C. Habits die hard.
It's the root of the word cereal if the gives you any help, however, in the original latin its a hard C, KEH-rehs in English more SIR-eez.
My instinct has always been SAIR-eez. I'd spell your pronunciation as Serys.
