The only name that I like out of these is Julia. I don’t like any of the others. If I had to choose another one, though…I’d pick Janice. Lyn would be nice if it were a nickname for Lyndsey or if it had two n’s (Lynn).

Julia- like it, it’s a classic
Charmaine- not sure how to feel. It’s pretty, but at the same time really ugly. I hear this name and I picture a dumb blonde for some reason.
Jacqui- as a nickname to Jacqueline? Because if that’s her legit name it sounds like a drink.
Lyn- prefer Lynn
Janice- like it because of Mean Girls, but I like Janis more

I like Julia, that name feels rather timeless. I also don't mind Jacqui as a short form for Jacqueline - I actually prefer the Jacqui spelling to Jackie. I don't know that Jacqueline can be said to be timeless in the same way as Julia, but I like it quite a lot.Janice, Lyn, and Charmaine all are very dated, I think.

Julia is pretty timeless; the others are more 1950s. How old are they now, do you know?

Based on the programme saying the met in their 20s in the 1980s as an educated guess I would say most are in their 50s and the youngest Janice could be in her late 40s. Their mum had them over a 10 year period.

Ah-ha! Thank you. And, do you know if they were all named by their birth mother?

They were all named by their birth parents. Two of the women Jacqui and Lyn share a dad as well as a mum. Their dad never admitted who he was and they simply knew him as uncle Tony but he visited them at different foster parents houses. DNA has now proven his parental link.
