Newest addition to the family! Sort of...
I'm not exactly sure where this should be posted; if it's meant to be in the lounge. If so, my apologies.
Anyway, my sister and her family recently got a kitten from one of our cousins. I haven't met him yet, but he's an absolute cutie! (As most of them are of course)
Here he is:
Yup, your typical ginger tabby. Lol. I'm going over to their place this weekend to meet him, and to have a playdate with Lydia. Very excited! Hopefully they get along. I'm sure they will. (:
The name they decided on was Max. Not very original, I know. But I think it suits him well. I also like the sound of "Lydia and Max" It has a nice ring to it I think, even though they are from two separate owners.
They did want a longer name, such as: Maxwell, Maximus or Maximilian, but she said that they couldn't decide between those.
Other names they contented with were:
Finn
Flynn (After the character from Rapunzel)
Misha (After the actor, Misha Collins, because she said it reminded her of his character, Castiel, from Supernatural, who she likes. I do too, being a huge fan of the show. I didn't even know she was either. So awesome!! But we both agreed that this name would have been far better suited to the grey tabby they were originally going to get.
This is him. They decided on the ginger one instead because it's apparently better with kids.
Just thought to share the exciting news. :D Thoughts on any of the names? Also, what would you name a ginger cat? Or, do you have one? I never owned one myself, but I've always heard they're usually very affectionate and friendly. From the ones that I've met, that's very true. (:

Thanks to those that did respond. I'll try to upload a picture of both of them together. Really hope they hit it off. (:
The orange kitten looks like Marmalade of "Cole and Marmalade" fame.
Ares would be good name for an Orange cat. Fire sign, ruled by planet Mars, all that.
My grandparents have an orange tabby named Punkin. That’s how they choose to spell it because that’s how they tend to say pumpkin, they are from Tennessee. He’s a very well behaved cat. Long before I was born they had another one named Peaches.
I had a wonderful ginger cat for not nearly long enough. The kitten rescue place had named him Archie, which I vetoed, having had a Scottish boyfriend with that name who was sadly boring. We decided on Jimmy, and he decided I was his human. He was delightful, fine with the other cats, happy to play with the dogs (who tried to chase him when he was new, but he stood his ground until they got embarrassed and slunk off) - the nicest cat I've ever had. And got an incurable illness. I still miss him.
Aw! Both of them are cute. I like Max! Congrats to them on the new cat.
