Bonnie is a pretty name.

I used to like it but after a terrible experience with my former doctor's wife, I have little use for the name now.

It seems like Connie, Ronnie, Billie, Belle, Dulcie, Debbie, Bonita.
I knew a couple of Bonnies who would be between 60-90 now.
Potentially, it has some spirit, but I don't particularly like it.

Knew a Bonnie. One of the most capable women ever. Good name, sweet yet solid.

We named our first Scottie puppy Bonnie, because she was very beautiful. Soon we found that it didn't really suit her personality, and she became Bonzo, which did. I later met a human named Bronwen who was always called Bonnie: this, I found strange and counter-intuitive. Bonnie does sound like a nn, or a pet's name, but not really a short form of anything!

It reminds me of the Scottish folk song: "My Bonnie lies over the ocean
My Bonnie lies over the sea
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
Oh bring back my Bonnie to me"It's a song you can't unhear! As a name it's alright. I bit too cutesy for my taste.
