I prefer the Nathaniel spelling, personally.

It's okay.
FYI, my instinct is not to pronounce the H with this spelling, like with Nathalie and Nathanaël.

It’s a nice name but I like the Nathaniel spelling better.

If I'd had a son his name would have been Nathanael Robert. I love the name! I love that you could call him Nathan or Nate if you wanted to (but only sometimes, because the full name is amazing). The length and flow work with my daughter's 3-syllable 9-letter name. It's magnificent! And why I do understand why people prefer the other spelling, I like Nathanael, because many versions of the Bible (including the three I use the most often) use this spelling. So I'm used to it. I love the meaning, and I love the story in the book of John about this calling (the back and forth between Jesus and Nathanael is rather amusing).

Nathaniel is better.

I absolutely LOVE Nathanael spelt this way! It's definitely my favourite masculine name. I vastly prefer it to Nathaniel. Nathanael seems friendly and trustworthy. Nathaniel seems staid and overbearing.Or the variant Elnathan - that's pretty cool, too!

Although I know it’s pronounced just like Nathaniel, whenever I see it my brain says “nath-a-NAIL”

I like the name (it's a strong, solid name) but very much dislike the spelling. I far prefer Nathaniel. Nathanael just doesn't look right to me.

It's alright but I prefer Nathaniel or Netan'el.
