Do you like Clarissa and what sort of image does it give you?I get an upper class British lady playing cricket in a hat and white dress. Just curious. Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

Clarissa makes me think Spanish/latin, not English at all. I like it. I definitely don't like Claire. That name sounds like the stuck up English woman.
Clara is also nice for clarity.

I like it. Despite it being ornate, it's pretty down-to-earth.I get the image of a nun or an über-religious woman in her fifties. Basically because "clarisa" (which coincides with the Spanish form of this name, Clarisa) is the Spanish word for a Poor Clare nun.

I far prefer Clare. Clarissa is unnecessarily decorative.

Clarissa Explains it All! Although I wasn’t even in existence when that show was out I still like it and that’s my first association. That being said, I quite like Clarissa. It’s a pretty and simple name without being too basic and overused. Light, and cool. I like it.Clarissa Elizabeth
Clarissa Annabelle
Clarissa Esmée
Clarissa Beatrix
Clarissa Pearl

I think Clarissa is lovely. I like it better than Clarice but I prefer Claire.

I love Clarissa! I've known of a few young Clarissas, so I don't immediately think of an upper-class lady, but Clarissa Dalloway is probably my chief association. I also think of the Samuel Richardson novel that I've never read.

I do not like Clarissa. I imagine a late 18th century Englishwoman with pale-blond hair, in a dove-grey dress and a chilly manner.
