I actually think of blackcurrants (aka cassis) when I see this name, so that could be a chosen etymology if you want, why not.

I say Cass-ee-ah naturally. It's a nice name, a little simplistic, but cute. It would be fun to find out Cassie is a nickname for Cassia.
