...Yeah, and? What does it matter? Lana is "anal" backwards, but the handy thing about English is that we read left-to-right. Array (still likes Naomi and Natasha)

No I haven't. But I don't think It's a big deal. Most people don't look at names and spell it backwords. "It's orange Ellen, orange! That's why they call it the red planet!!!" -Lakota

that's an old old joke. I've always heard it and I can't help but say it in my head everytime I see or hear the name.

Could be worse - my best friends names is Natasha, which spelt backwards is "ah, satan"! Even worse, her parents are Ministers!I don't think that most people notice backwards spellings (just like how most people don't know that a certain name doesn't have a really nice meaning - by that I mean, the majority of people don't hear the names Courtney or Cameron or Claudia and say, oh, that name has such a nasty meaning). I doubt that it would end up effecting the kid much - I've known Tash for years and we only realised the ah, satan thing later on in College when we were really bored and trying to make acronyms of our names - it wasn't like people went around making fun of her for it. So, that rambling narrative was just to say that I doubt many people would notice the unfortunate hidden message behind Naomi! And even if they do, hey, kids are always going to tease. Maybe its better if there is something obvious to be teased about!Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

Yes I have noticed. But as a child growing up no one ever noticed it or made jokes or said anything about it. People occasionally mention it now that I'm older mostly cause it was mentioned in some movie.

dittoActually I only ever got Naomi backwards as "Im-oh-an", trying to keep it three syllable and broken up the same way as Naomi forwards. Only in the last 5 years has it been "I moan" and that's really just because they got it from whatever movie it was.

I've never noticed that. My dad wanted to name my Naomi. At least it would be a much less common name than what I have now. I don't think that many people would realize that Naomi is "i moan" backwards.
