Poor kids!

I've known 2 Shawnda's, both white, popular, blonde girls I went to high school with. Idky the others think it's a "dated black girl name".

Cortlyn sounds weird to me. I’d just go with Courtney and use Lynne as a middle name.

Cortlyn doesn't know what it's trying to do and so doesn't do whatever it is very well. It's trying for something. An update of Courtney? A pseudo-surname like Cortland? Or what?

Shawnda feels very 1970s black girl to me. It's not unattractive but that style of names tends to flash up, burn hot and then quickly vanish.
