Believe it or not ... and also rip tides, which are dangerous. Not good for any carbon-based life form IMO.

This is the name of the little town my grandparents grew up in and where I spent my summers and still have a lot of family. Otherwise I don’t think it would be a good name at all, but it means so much to me. However, I would only ever use it in the middle name spot for a boy. My aunt named her male dog Ripley.

This was on the list of potential names when a friend of mine was expecting....if she ended up needing a C-section, they had the name Ripley picked out, for any gender. I don't think it was a joke, I think they genuinely would have done it.

I’m going with boy. I think it makes a better name for a dog than a person.

It's fine for a pet. I don't think it's too good for a human. Definitely for a male either way.
