"I met her in a club down in old Soho where they drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry cola (c-o-l-a, cola)
"She walked up to me and she asked me to dance. I asked her her name, and in a dark-brown voice she said 'Lola' (L-o-l-a, Lola; Lo-lo-lo-lo Lola)"
and so on, and on; the first and sweetest transvestite in pop music and one of my all-time favourite songs, but perhaps not a good idea on a non-gay human.

I don't mind it. Kind of soft, sweet.

Whimsical, youthful, and rendered altogether prurient by pop culture. I do like how showy, plaintive Dolores is reduced to such a jolly name, I like the song by the Kinks.

“her name was Lola, she was a showgirl...” Sorry but I can’t get past that.
Too sexually loaded to use for me. It reminds me of Lolita, Lolo Ferrari and the song Lola. Aside from that it doesn't sound like something that ages well.
This all to the usability. Lola itself sounds friendly and playful.

I do not like it at all
I’ve always had a liking for Lola. It’s a sweet, pretty, and cool name with a bit of flair and unusualness to it. I would even consider it for a daughter. Lola has beauty to it. I like it.

This name on a baby or child kind of gives me the heebie jeebies. It's such a mature, sensual name to me, I don't see it as childlike at all. It's a nice name, I like it, it just has a lot of baggage.
My 6yo niece is named Lola. It’s not a name I would have chosen, but it’s grown on me as she’s a delight.
People always complain that the fashionable names of the day will look odd on an adult. They won’t, by the time those kids are adults. They’ll just be normal.

It goes with a child, or with a pet.... but I don't believe it ages well on an adult human. I do think it is cute though!
It can only work on a 5 yr old.
