Gavriella
WDYT about the name, Gavriella? And which name do you prefer: Gavriella or Gabriella? Thoughts on both.

And on a completely different question, which I decided to put into the same post, because why not?, which spelling do you most prefer: Shawn or Shaun (And no, Sean isn't an option here. Lol)
Thank you in advance

I'd prefer Gavriella but only slightly. I feel like it's easier to say - or it feels subtly less clumsy/awkward when I say it somehow? It's not like Gavriel vs Gabriel (I'd pick Gabriel) which sound more obviously different to me; I'd say the vowel in the feminine versions the exact same way, but not in the two masculine versions, so it's almost as insignificant seeming a distinction as Gabriela vs Gabriella (I prefer Gabriela).
I think they're both nice names although wouldn't realistically consider using either of them.
Shawn and Shaun look equally uglier than Sean to me, so really I'm indifferent, but Shawn looks more obviously phonetic, and I've seen that a lot more than Shaun, so I'll go with that. But I think I'd use Shauna before Shawna; it looks streamlined (also familiar, because of Fauna) and more like its own name to me rather than Shawn + A.

Gavriella looks prettier than Gabriella, but it's the same name to me, kinda like Avigail/Abigail and Devorah/Deborah. I'd pick the V version just aesthetically, if I'd never seen the names before. But I'm really accustomed to Gabriella, I've never met one who wasn't smart and nice, and I think Gabi is cute. When I see Gavriella I just think "That's a Gabriella trying to avoid Gabi, or else Jewish/Israeli." It's fine, but I don't like it more than Gabriella.
Shawn and Shaun - There were guys named this name with each of the spellings, in my level at elementary school. So they seem very familiar to me. Maybe because of those boys, I think of Shawn as a more "rebellious" type spelling, better-looking, more fun. Shaun seems better behaved and more successful and reliable. I think Shaun is a little ugly visually (and reminds me of Shaun the Sheep a little), and I like Sean more than it. I think Shawn seems "pretty," as someone else noted. So I favor Shawn (and also Shawna). I like Shane a little more than Shawn.

I prefer Shaun, which is the name of a wonderful fast bowler and former South African cricket captain, Shaun Pollock.
I actually prefer Gavriella. I thoroughly dislike Gabriella and all its nns, but because Gavriella obviously comes from a very different language and naming tradition, I'm prepared to accept it. And it wouldn't shorten to Gabby, which is a plus.

Unless you’re part of a community where Gavriella would be the more expected form, then Gabriella is better. I can’t really say which I prefer as I’m just so disinterested by both.
I don’t quite get the point of spelling Sean phonetically. I guess Shaun looks more streamlined.

Gavriella vs Gabriella:
I prefer Gabriella. I find it so much easier to spell the name with Gabriella and not as Gavriella; the 'vr' part don't flow well, in my opinion. Plus, I think people might might misspell Gavriella as Gabriella all the time.
Shawn vs Shaun:
I prefer the anglicization of Seán as Shawn, it is more prettier and masculine, in my opinion. But both of the names are okay, actually.
