I like it. Although it is overtly common, it's also classic and cute, similar to that of 'Lily' Although unlike Lily, I can't see Ellie standing on it's own. I think it's better suited as just a nickname and if I had to pick a fuller name from the list below, I'd go with Eleanor. It's very classic, regal and sophisticated. It encapsulates beauty. Ella is nice to. I don't like the spelling of 'Elinor' at all.
