Katharine and Catherine seem like authentic spellings to me; of the two I prefer Katharine. If it hadn't suddenly gone viral, I might have considered it IRL, but not now; it would be fine as a mn.

It's my second favorite spelling of the name, next to GP Katharyn (which would likely never be spelled correctly in the real world). Katharine Hepburn plays a huge part in why I like that second A (that, and the name Katarina, which I actually prefer to Katherine and all her variants).

I prefer Katherine. Better yet, Catherine.

I don't like Katherine, but perhaps that spelling looks better than Katharine.

The 'a' is too distracting. Makes me want to pronounce it 'kath-A-rin'.

I prefer Katherine. Katharine is like Kathleen to me, not attractive and much better alternatives.
