1. If you had twins today (Whatever gender you want), what would you name them?
Damon and Mara
2. Would you ever give your first name as a child’s middle name?
3. If not, what about your middle name as your son/daughters middle name as well?
No, and no.
4. You are forced to give your son a feminine name, and you daughter a masculine one. What are their names? (You can add a middle name)
he - Kelsey, she - Merlin
5. Do you prefer names with history to it or is it completely coincidental?
coincidental
6. Does a name not being ‘genuine’ enough bother you?
depends on what way it's not genuine enough. generally, No.
7. How do you feel about accents with names? Would you ever use a name with one? (Ex: Chloë, Renée, Anaïs.)
They're alright, I don't mind them. But Chloë is just Chloe with a mark. It's pronounced the same where I live. So it's kinda like a pointless embellishment, like spelling it Chloey. Only it's nicer than that.
8. What do you think of names with different spelling from the original?
it's fine, some of them are to my taste and some are not.
9. Do you like nicknames for your child or even yourself? Or do you prefer the full name?
I probably prefer using them out loud, but not as a full official name. Like I might name a kid Thomas or Sophia, but I would never call them that. They'd be Tom and Sophie.
10. Has the pandemic changed your taste in names?
No?
11. You and your partner just chose the name for your child. You both love it and have no doubts in mind. Your entire family hates it. Do you still keep the name?
Of course. In reality, they wouldn't let on, if they hated a name I used. Because it's obviously rude and selfish to tell someone you don't like their child's name. Anyone, even a relative. They might have hated the ones I did use, at the time! But if they did, they got used to it, and never said a thing to me.
12. What is one name that’s popular you actually think deserves it’s time in the light? It can be one for a boy and one for a girl.
Sophia and Noah ... I don't love them but I think they deserve
13. What is one baby name tradition or trend that you don’t like? It can be anything.
Gal names ending in lyn and leigh, yawn.
14. What (type) name automatically makes you (Or would make you?) lose respect for a parent?
I feel judgy about names that seem pedo or popcultish to me. Like Peaches, Apple, Plum, Lolita, Lucifer, Mazikeen, X
