I can see some appeal for others but it isn't for me.
Not my style, but attractive in a unique way.
Not an attractive sound, and no obvious nns for those who enjoy them. Thanks to Moby Dick, it's a one-owner name with an aura of mystery: it could work well as a mn.
I really like Ishmael, but it is one of those names that, while I enjoy it in its entirety, it doesn't have any nicknames that I like. Ish and Mael both sound awful.
Apart from the Bible, my top association is "Moby Dick," so I get an open-minded sea-faring vibe from it. It also could work well in a Steampunk setting.
Sibling set
Ishmael Montgomery
Sophronia Hester
Cornelius Horatio or perhaps Thaddeus Percival
Aurelia Beatrix
Bertram Alistair

It's just too much of a one-off name to be used on a real person.
