I think I would pick Caoilfhionn, I like both names but I think Keelin would work better with our last name.

Neither. In my accent Cliodhna sounds like cleaner and Caoilfhionn sounds like keeling, as in keeling over.

Honestly, I'd avoid them both. I lack Irish ancestry, I've never been there and probably never will, and I'm happy to read Irish legends in translation, so I've got no knowledge of Irish phonetics and no need to find out. I don't much like the sound of either name, and they fail to interest me. Sorry, but there it is.

But I think if you use Clíodhna/Caoilfhíonn for your character (or even your child), the people who don't know how to read Irish will butcher their names and it could be tricky for the readers. What do you think about picking their anglicization instead? Like Clina/Cleena for Clíodhna and Keelin for Caoilfhíonn?

Clíodhna definitely, I'm not a fan of 'Lin' names in any culture.
