Dory for a boy.
Just, what the message line says. Or, Dori.

Maybe as a cutesy nickname for Dorian, but other than that I don’t see it working.

I can see it if it’s a nickname for Dorian, but I don’t much like either. I don’t really like Dory on a girl either though.

If girls can be called nicknames like Charlie, Chris, or Ronnie, I don't see why Dory can't be masculine.

Absolutely not!

It sounds very childish, actually on girls too.

Aw, cute, I like it.

Maybe as a nn for Dorian? It doesn’t feel like a complete name on its own. If you’re looking for a marine-themed name I think there are better options.

Definitely male, in view of the fish called John Dory! I would never use it though, fish or not. It does look temptingly like a nn for Dorothy or Dorothea, though only with the American pronunciation; I'd spell it Dorry to achieve a short o.
