Middle name for Juliana? Sisters for her?
What are some middle name ideas (1 MN) that you have for the first name Juliana (joo-lee-AHN-ə) that would fit our style?
Below is a list of our current favorite names so you’ve got an idea. I just don’t feel that many of them fit as a MN for Juliana.
Names of people we’d potentially like to honor are listed separately, and we personally don’t mind “stretchy” honors (like for Lynn we wouldn’t mind using something like Linnea).
What would you name her sisters, keeping our faves/style in mind?
(Potential brothers would be August & Hugo. Surname starts with B, is two syllables, and ends in -d. )
Names we like:
Fiona
Lena
Willa
Thea
Linnea
Rory
Hazel
Maeve
Beatrix
Aurelia
Cordelia
Cecilia
Clementine (-tine rhymes with line/fine)
Anneliese
Caroline
Matilda
Helena (HEHL-ə-nə)
Amelia
Ophelia
Calliope
Ramona
People we would like to honor in some way, but it's not set in stone that we will use honor names:
(Will remove these at some point so they won’t appear in search)
Tammie Jeanne
Tina Lynn
Thanks for your ideas!

The main problem with some of your lineup is that the flow would just be "off" with them as a middle name. Juliana Lena just sounds incredibly clunky for instance. Still a nice name but they don't flow well together and a good combo needs good flow. One of the ways to achieve this is to select an iambic middle name. An iambic name means that the stress is on the second syllable. Which is why Marie is such a common US female middle because the average person doesn't know as many iambic names let alone consciously aware of the phenomenon of its usage. When in doubt other French names cover the bases for this. Some examples of iambic middle names include:
Juliana Celine
Juliana Cosette
Juliana Colette
Juliana Odette
Juliana Nadine
Juliana Yvette
Juliana Adele
Juliana Celeste
Juliana Rochelle
Juliana Brigitte
Juliana Clarisse
Juliana Roxanne
Juliana Suzanne
Etc.
Sometimes it doesn't have to be iambic it & it just has to have the right cadence. Sometimes this is achieved by having a different sounding suffix to the middle name. Which is why Elizabeth is another very common middle.
Juliana Elizabeth
Juliana Naomi
Juliana Christine
Juliana Nicolette
Juliana Bernadette
Juliana Dominique
Juliana Rosalie
Juliana Rosemarie
Juliana Isabelle
Juliana Winifred
Etc.
Other ideas I hadn't mentioned yet:
Juliana Charmaine
Juliana Olivia
Juliana Rose
Juliana Rosaline
Juliana Leanne
Juliana Margery
Juliana Madeline
Juliana Cathleen
Juliana Estelle
Juliana Noelle
Juliana Marguerite
Juliana Vanessa
Also I'm sorry I thought you were just a mom that came onto this site I hadn't realized you were someone that had been a user for a while sorry if I was explaining stuff you already knew ha

Okay, this makes me feel better, because so many names I like for girls end in -a but I wasn’t sure if it was “too much”. Thank you!
Well and none of these are really hard-hitting rules or anything either. Some combos break all of the "rules" and still sounds alright as a set. Sometimes you find something that you really like and if it's slightly off it doesn't matter in the end because that was just the right combination.
You're welcome. Let me know if you need more ideas. Middle name brainstorming is my cup of tea in naming.
I might take you up on this through PMs at some point! And maybe run some boy names by you too haha.
That would be fine, I'd be happy to help
Browsing through your PNL, I most like Juliana Calanthe, Juliana Miriam, and Juliana Vivian.
Brothers: August, Hugo, Theodore
Sisters: Agnes, Alma, Amelia, Beatrice, Beatrix, Cora, Edith, Freya, Magdalena, Margot, Rafaela
I also like Juliana Thea, Juliana Beatrix, Juliana Calliope, and Juliana Tamsin (for Tammie).

I also like the sound of a MN that doesn’t start or end in -a for Juliana. I do love Eleanor! It didn’t make the list because SO isn’t sold on it, but she may like it with Juliana, so I’ll mention it.
Therese is a really good idea. Tina is my mom, Tammie is SO’s aunt that passed, and SO’s mom is Thress@ (although she’s not really in our lives), so this could be a unique way to honor them all. Thank you for your suggestions!

Juliana Jean or Tamika, Lynae, Tamlyn, Mina (combo of Mi from tammie and na from Tina), Anne, Anna (from Anne/Jeanne and na from Tina), Tianne (Tina and Jeanne), Anthea (from Anne/Jeanne)
I like Fiona, Hazel, Maeve, Beatrix, Annalise, Caroline, Matilda, Amelia, Calliope
