Evangeline

Evangeline is a bit more fiery and the V gives it some edge. It is also sounds like it would suit a diverse set of women. I can imagine Evangeline as a musician, bookstore owner, or vampire queen.
Angeline is fine but it is more demure ballerina in pink.
I also prefer the nicknames Eve and Eva far more than Angie or Angel.

That's a fun description
My mother had a school friend named Evangeline, which she thought was rather over the top; this girl was known as Vangie, which is enough to put anyone off the name, I would have thought.
I'd happily use either Eva or, preferably, Eve as a full name than mess around with an extremely long name like Evangeline, except perhaps as a mn if one really had to.

Vangie sounds awful. It makes me think of phalanges or some sort of dangling appendage. I'm happy that it doesn't seem to be used as a nickname for Evangeline in my area.
