Part of me wants to suggest Blackie for Alexander, after the surname, inspired by an Agatha Christie character that gets called that (but her surname is Blacklock) by another character.
But, maybe also Al, Alex or Xander.
Regarding Lily Li, all I can think of is the obvious (?) Lee (that could be taken from everywhere here) or maybe Ly from Lily
