I only like it a fraction of a hair better than Hortense and Hortense is...well...Hortense. It makes me wince.

I can see the appeal but it doesn't appeal to me. It looks a bit incomplete without the H but the spelling without could grow on me.

Hi !!!Being Italian, Ortensia is our official form. It's a vintage name. It's quite elegant but no longer popular (I actually doubt it was in the past). A dignified name without peaks of popularity.I quite like it but it's not among my favourites. I have it in my PNL though.

It looks illiterate. If you don't want people to pronounce the H in Hortensia, then please consider it (with an H) as a mn and find something easier for a fn.
