Thinking about changing my name...
So I’ve been thinking lately, and although I have a long way to go: I think I want to change my name now.
My real name is Isis, Ciara is actually my middle name but I go by that online. I’m getting bored with the both of them. Now whenever I think about my name, it doesn’t feel like me. I wish I could get into detail here, but maybe not now.
I’m looking for names that are fairly uncommon but not completely unheard of, and not too much of a mouthful. Suggestions?
Names in mind:
Athena
Beatrice
Xena
Maddie

I love Isis but I totally get the stigma. Athena is my pick.
My daughter is Beatrice, and it works well for her. Athena is very ambitious but so is Isis; Xena is trying too hard to be exotically different; and Maddie isn't anything I'd enjoy - sounds babyish and would shorten to Mad.
I don't know your age, but I think give it a couple of years because tastes do change and you don't want to keep on changing.

I'm surprised, you seemed to really love your name whenever you spoke of it. I can't think of many as impactful as Isis Ciara...
I like Maddie, Beatrice
Others Beatrix, Amy, Portia, Claire, Chantal, Phaedra, Ally, Lara, Bianca, Brooke, Katelyn, Jenna, Jenae, Elise, Hayley, Imogen, Jasmine, Lauren, Miranda, Odette, Phoebe, Ruby, Lucy, Saskia, Tessa, Chloe, Yvette, zara, Zoe

OMG, you have one of my favorite names ever! Can we swap?? I'm Emma. Lol
All the names you suggested are much worse. You'd switch Mighty Isis for... Maddie?
Athena is one of my favorite names, but it's about to be super trendy on babies.
No, I don't support this! Sorry.

From your list, Athena is my favorite. But really if you are thinking of changing your name, try using it in various, less permanent contexts: Starbucks, stage name, ask a couple friends to try addressing you as the name - see if it really feels like “you.” Ultimately that’s more important than what names some strangers on the internet like! :)
I totally agree on the Starbucks/Restaurant thing! I did that for a while. I'm really wanting to change my middle name (Dudley), but I can't...it would destroy my dad (I'm the 4th generation of my name. As much as I despise my name and dad). Like Melody02 said, a name that makes you feel happy matters more than our opinions.
