Every Sally I know or have known had it as full name in its own right. I honestly don't think it will ever be used again as a nn for Sarah. I could see it working as a nn for Salome, provided that it was pronounced SALomay rather than saLOHme. I like it a lot, and given enough daughters I'd certainly consider using it.

I have all ways loved the name Sally on it's own or in Saline. Maybe this is "childish" but I have a intrest in "stupid" internet jokes. Like I love the internet joke earthworm Sally.
