Biblical names are always hit or miss. Some are classic and great and others seem ridiculous and should stay in the past. This is a perfect example - Abigail has stuck around and become classic. It has fine nicknames like Abby, Abbie, Gail and isn’t there are other associations besides just being Biblical. It still sounds like a normal name to a modern person. Bathsheba is only going to envoke the Biblical story (and not a very pleasant one), it sounds strange in modern times, especially since it starts with the word bath- and there isn’t really a good nickname to use. What would people call her, Bath, She, Sheba, Bat? It reminds me of a name from a fantasy story, like a name I wouldn’t be surprised to come across in a Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Percy Jackson book. Also, please put all your questions together, so it doesn’t move everyone else’s off the board. If you think of more questions later, you can just edit your first post or make a poll.

Please refrain from creating dozens of posts in a single day. It is considered more polite to put all the names that you want for consideration into a single post for the day because every time you put dozens of new posts down it moves other people's material off the front page (and most active page) sooner. Give careful consideration to the names you want to ask about that day and then put it into a single post. As far as the Abigail vs Bathsheba question goes that would be more appropriate for the polling feature. The polling feature is best utilized when you don't necessarily want an elaborate explanation as much as a quick "this or that", such as the versus questions.

I thought, and now I've checked, that we are limited to five posts per day: clicking Help on the dark-blue horizontal bar gets all the rules, including this:5. Limit yourself to creating no more than 5 new threads per day per board (however you can respond to as many threads as you want). This is advice that Moony2 needs to know ...

I already advised reading the rules. Nobody ever seems to, they just keep doing the same things over and over.I think it would probably be feasible to have it so that if someone tried to post more than five threads in a day, they got a message that said something like "You've exceeded the five-thread limit for today."

But if you want to clutter the board with 5 post a day every single day from this person, because that's what you're inviting, be my guest.

That's what we're getting anyway, and then some! I suspect the OP will get bored after a while and wander away: can't prove it ...

It's generally considered impolite to utilize that many though, this much has been established before. No one actually uses that many because it's considered rude & spamming.

I'm sorry because I mistaken it. Please don't hating me because I'm wrong
