Re: Katarzyna and Katrina

I'm not Polish, so Katarzyna just doesn't work at all for me. I know the z is silent but in English that just doesn't make sense.
The sound of it is very pretty. If I wanted the sound I'd just use Katerina or Caterina.I like Katrina a lot; my mother always had a doll named Katrina when she was little, and everyone assumed she'd name me Katrina, but apparently it never occurred to her.I think along with Katrina, my favorite Katherine form is Kathleen or Kaitlyn. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Katarzyna isn't pronounced like Katerina, it's ka-ta-ZHI-na.
