Nico (M)?

I don't like it but it is definitely better than Nicky. I like Nick, not Nic.

I love it and like it best as a nickname for Nicodemus, or possibly Andronicus too since you brought it to the table. I honestly never considered that idea before..
Nico feels like the quintessential male nickname to me, so fun, handsome, casual, youthful, energetic and sporty. It makes me think of a popular but kind young boy at summer camp climbing in a tree. And if he wanted he could fall back on his legal name when he's older and enters the workforce.

It's ok as a nn
I like Nico. It's good as a nickname and works just as well as a full name, which can't be said for Nick.
I also think Nick, Nic, Nicky, etc. can sound harsh and awkward, and a lot less 'namey' than Nico. Nick only sounds like a name to me because I've seen it so often, but if you'd never heard of Nick or Nico before, you'd think Nico sounds like a real name and Nick just sounds like an awkward short sound or a random word.

It's alright. I don't know if it deserves the sheer amount of hype it gets, but it's better than a lot of trendy nicknames (such as Liam).
