Lina
What are your opinions on Lina? It's one of my favorite names. I prefer it to Lena, personally. It does sound kind of nicknamey, but I think it's great to stand alone. It's multicultural, and I love that.

It is more of a nickname, kind of boring too but overall not terrible.
I like Lina. It's short, simple, pretty, and reminds me of plants -- I thought that was maybe because of Linnea but I guess Lina means palm tree so maybe that's why. I also think it's good as a nickname because a lot of long names end with -lina, but I prefer it on its own as a full name.
I like Lena too but it's different, it sounds older and more maternal. It also works as a full name or a nickname (Magdalena, Helena, etc.)

In my opinion Lina is a fun name. I'd rather use it as a nickname, though. I don't really like Lena.

Yeah, straight into the nickname category for me. This was going to be my cousin's name until they realized they needed a full name for it and decided on Marina instead.
Lena has more character than Lina I think. The best thing is that Lina is very internationally usable. It has a bland feel to me though. I remember the first time I heard it used for a baby, I thought it was odd to find a name that I saw used for the first time and felt was very bland at the same time.
