Porcia
What do you think of Porcia, the original form of Portia? I think it looks softer than Portia. I'm not bothered by the Porcia-porcine relationship. Some combos:Porcia Adriana
Porcia Celestine
Porcia Clarice
Porcia Clementine
Porcia Eloise
Porcia Gwendoline
Porcia Irene
Porcia Isabel
Porcia Leontine
Porcia Liliana
Porcia Milena
Porcia Ottoline
Porcia Teresa
Porcia Valentine
Porcia Viviana
Porcia Wilhelmine
Porcia Winifred

It looks like one of these frumpy Polish nicknames no-one uses anymore like Dorcia or Wercia or Gercia, with the grating tch sound. Porch, a.

I think the change from -c- to -t- was made for a very good reason. I much prefer Portia. From your list, Portia Clarice, Portia Isabel and Portia Winifred really stand out, but Porcia Clarice, Porcia Isabel and Porcia Winifred come in stone last.

You aren't, but I am. It's quite vivid to me. I don't think Portia is improved by a softer look.I love Porcia Ottoline... a lot of these are nice enough, but Ottoline is such a special name. Actually it's Portia Ottoline that I love but don't tell.

I love Portia; I am, however, bothered by the Porcia-porcine relationship. All I see there is pork.

It doesn't look softer to me because I am conditioned already to see Portia as the same sound as portion, whereas I look at Porcia and think, oh Porkia! And with soft C, I hear 'poor Sia' or 'por si' in Spanish. It sounds okay but seems more awkward than Portia to me.Porcia Temperance
Porcia Mabel
Porcia Iris Andromeda

It looks cute, it feels more Spanish. Imo the original reminds me of portly which is somewhat unfortunate, maybe worse than porcine. Porcia Winifred is such a pretty combo, but all of the combos work!
