Galen is fine. Jalen sounds like “jailing” and just sounds like a trendy combination of sounds with no depth.

One's as bad as the other. Galen has more of a history, but not enough.

Jalen isn't my style, in both how it looks, and sounds, like.

I adore Galen, though, and everything about it. The looks, the sound with the hard 'G' pronunciation, and what it means.

Not a fan of Jalen, rings as too trendy to me. I like Galen. I went to school with one so it's a pleasant association as well as Galen the Greek physician.

Jalen is overused where I live and Galen is going to be teased about being gay.

Not a fan of either. Both sound like two random trendy sounds stuck together. At least the spelling makes sense, but other than that I can't think of anything good about these names.
