Dawn vs. Fawn
Which would you choose, and why?
What would you use for a middle name?
What would you name a brother and sister?
**After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

Sibset: Dawn and Colby. It has a pleasing contrast, and not too many syllables.
Somehow, Fawn is too delicate for me. I can only think of a baby dear, or a really naive girl.
Also, even though they're both nature names, I think it's a better idea to name people after a frame of time, flower or setting than it is to name them after an animal. Especially a baby animal.
Dawn Ramona
Dawn Remington
Dawn Juliet
Dawn Skylar
Dawn Elizabeth (classic)
I might prefer it as a middle name:
Amelia Dawn
Cassandra Dawn
Persephone Dawn
Priscilla Dawn
Mora Dawn

If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Dawn, easily. (Though I'd much prefer Donna.) A fawn is a baby deer, not grown, so in my eyes naming someone Fawn is akin to naming them Kitten or Cub.
There are also two unfortunate associations with the name Fawn:
1. Animal House. Fawn never appears in the movie, but she is frequently mentioned in one segment as a ceramics student who died in a freak kiln accident.
2. Napoleon Dynamite. LaFawnduh. Yes, that's how it's spelled in the movie. No, I cannot shake the association.
As for middles, how about...
Dawn Everild
Dawn Ariel / Dawn Arielle
Dawn Alessia
Dawn Alyssa
Dawn Elena / Dawn Alaina
Dawn Elodie
Dawn Eloise
Dawn Imelda
Dawn Yvette
Dawn Elektra
Dawn Ursula
For some reason, I only like it with middles beginning in a vowel sound.
Siblings would be... possibly Andrew, Colin / Collin, Michelle, or Laurel.

I would choose Dawn: I agree with everyone who said it's more usable and thought of 'fawning over', even though Fawn is also a deer which is nice. I love the connotations of dawn - beauty and beginnings, a fresh start. In my accent (British), Dawn and Don sound different, and I much prefer the drawn out 'aw' of Dawn, whereas I don't like Don or the American pronunciation of Dawn. Because of that, as my family are all American, I would never actually use it. But it's a nice name.
Dawn Julia
Dawn Sylvia
Dawn Lydia
Dawn Elizabeth
Dawn Ariadne
Dawn Matilda
Dawn Eloise
Dawn Lucy (dawn light)
Dawn Cassandra
Dawn Virginia
Dawn Anise
Dawn, Aurora, Roxana, Alba, Eos, for sisters whose names all mean "dawn".
Dawn and Layla - dawn and night
Dawn and Orpheus - dawn and the darkness of night
Dawn and Sunset?
I think I prefer other nature word names:
Dawn, Lily, and Jay
Dawn, Willow, and Robin

Definitely prefer Dawn, Fawn makes me think of “fawning over.”
Don't like either, Dawn just a little better
Agree
Dawn. It’s a name I would consider as a middle name.
If I were to use it as a first name, I’d probably pick something with more syllables. Adelaide, Evangeline, Aveline, Emmeline
Sibling: Celeste, Stella, Luna, Apollo, Orion, Nova (going for the celestial theme).
