Grace, to me, is a name from Opposite Land.

Its virtuous meaning can refer either to elegance in action / behavior, or bestowed favor. But its sound is a frozen fist to the ear. Even if it doesn't hold true for the bearer at all, Grace is one of the iciest names I've ever encountered.

So while its newfound popularity baffles me, it has been ubiquitous for long enough that it fits alongside Anna, Margaret, Elizabeth, etc. as one of the "classics."
