I love it. I love Welsh names and Carys is definitely near the top of my list.
I knew a girl who spelled it Karis.

There's a really awful medical facility in my area called Carys so that has ruined it for me. I probably wouldn't have liked it very much anyway though. Just not my cuppa.

I can't get over the word "cary" meaning tooth decay. And since I have a dental phobia, it's definitely out for me.

I love it. Felicity Carys Tesni is my favourite name for a daughter.

I'd instinctively rhyme it with Paris, and I quite like that. The actual pronunciation doesn't excite me at all.

Every Carys I have ever met (including ones who live in Wales) rhyme it with Paris.

I don't like the sound; it seems too much like cars/curse/coarse in my accent...or it doesn't seem distinct enough for some reason. But I do love Cerys.
And I used to know a Karis (her name rhymed with Paris).

Carys is cool! It's pretty unique, without being too out there. It's not my favorite, but I do really like this name, and find myself coming back to it from time to time.
