I guess the appeal is/was that it's classic, non-religious, usually easy to spell, some literary associations, and very in style now, and originally hadn't gotten a whole ton of use before it suddenly started gaining.
I don't like it, it's very bland and seems prissy and babyish at the same time. It's like Amy and Sarah and Jennifer that way.Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
